PANTONE 2019 COLOUR OF THE YEAR
PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral - An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a goldenundertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. Representing the fusion of modern life, PANTONE Living Coral is a nurturing colour that appears in our natural surroundings and displays a lively presence within social media.
According to Mindy Weiss (party consultant), balloon walls are the new flower walls. "Balloons are no longer just for kid's parties and New Year’s Eve - they make for
wonderful, celebratory décor for any event, including weddings," she explains.
BRINGING THE INSIDE OUT
Making an outdoor space feel as homey as possible is a major 2019 décor strategy, notes Lauren Fremont of Loli Events. “We have been saying ‘bring the outside in’ for years, but we are seeing a lot more of ‘bring the inside out,’” she says. “Couples love outdoor weddings, but to make them feel more like a fabulous dining or living room, we are bringing typical indoor pieces to the outdoors.”
CREATIVE STATIONARY & DECOR
The invitations are often the very first hint to your guests. There is so much choice
available now, with creative elements constantly increasing such as gold foiling, wax seals, laser cut, calligraphy, personalised monograms… the list goes on. One of our couples had a wedding signature scent created for them and each invite was scented! Also, hanging flower hoops within a marquee or venue with high ceilings can fill a big space and create an impressive visual impact. Written by Jenny Wren.
Looking forward into 2019, it is clear that size really does matter! Less is most definitely more as couples look to optimise their wedding budget by becoming
increasingly discerning in regard to the length of their guest list, choosing only to invite those closest to them in favour of offering a better quality of experience. Written by Helen Davies.
